Blue dye used in dyeing of cellulosic substrates for shirtings and leisurewear. Sensitive to hard water and high temperature. Sodium nitrite or glucose must be added in the dye bath to prevent over-reduction. Limited suitability for coloured bleach qualities. Rinsing immediately after dyeing is advisable to avoid greener | duller shades. Addition of 2 g/L soda ash to the soaping bath is recommended.
