Secondary hardened tissue culture raised date palm plants with a height of 2 to 2.5 ft when planted, with at least one pinnate leaf, a well-developed collar girth and root system. The trees yield Khalas date fruits that are ovoid and elongated in shape and medium in size. The fruit changes in colour from apricot yellow in Khalal (fresh) stage to yellowish brown in Rutab (semi-dried) stage and brown in Tamar (dried) stage. It is often consumed in its fresh or semi dry form and is moderately sweet.
